Fun Factor 1 cover

The first issue of our Nintendo zine is available right here, right now, to download for free!

Nintendo Fun Factor Issue 1 (left-click link to view in your browser or right-click, then “save link as…” to download!)

Inspired by the punk rock zines and gaming mags of our formative years, Nintendo Fun Factor is a celebration of Nintendo and the games that appeared on their platforms.

Issue 1 includes articles on both the raddest and scariest NES games, a Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Concert, music and game “reviews,” and more! It’s a .pdf, so you can read it on your Mac/PC, iPad, Kindle Fire, phone, or whatever other .pdf-reading gadget you have!

This zine is a (likely) quarterly labor of love that we’re totally committed to and we really hope you enjoy it! Feel free to leave any comments here or email us at!

Nintendo Fun Factor Zine Preview!

In the most recent episode of our podcast, we announced that we were working on a zine about retro and current games on Nintendo systems. The zine is called Nintendo Fun Factor and will be made available FOR FREE as a downloadable .pdf for your iPad or Kindle Fire or whatever sometime in January. We’re going for a hand-made punk rock zine + late-80s/early-90s video game magazine feel with honest, but positive writing. It’s our first go at this sort of thing, so we’ll see how it turns out!

Anyway, here are some preview pages to check out (note: these are low-res snapshots from the .pdf; actual pages will be much higher quality/resolution):
